JFE Steel announced on 30th the firm will build an additional converter furnace to No.3 steel making factory of Fukuyama area in West Japan Works and introduce leading-edge hot metal preparative treatment process unique developed. The process can clean impurity up from hot metal, and it links to resource saving, energy saving. Amount used of caustic lime decreases by around 40%.
