Mitsui to Take a 30% Equity Participation in the North and South American Operations of Leading Global Automotive Components Supplier, Gestamp Automocion

Mitsui & Co., Ltd. announced the firm has agreed with North and South American operations of Gestamp Automocion (GA) which is the world biggest automobile components maker in Spain, to acquire a 30% with maximum. Total amount is around 300 million Euro. GA’s North and South American operations holds plants in North and South America, 4 countries (USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina). Mitsui offers the network, for supply of steel material centered on Steel Technologies Inc., logistics, finance and proposal of new materials, and the firm plans to improve business valuation of GA’s North and South American operations.
