JFE Steel will start to operate Continuous Galvanizing Line (CGL) which is constructed in Thailand in April 2013. Building construction work is well away, and it corresponds to growing demand for high-grade steel sheet for automobile. The firm has taken a stake in Sahaviriya Steel Industries (SSI), the biggest hot rolled steel sheet manufacture in Thailand, and made agreement on comprehensive technical cooperation. The firm plans to respond to steel sheet needs from Japanese manufacture in Thailand.
