JFE Steel and Marubeni-Itochu Steel announced on 31st that they signed an agreement for cooperation with Sahaviriya Steel Industries (SSI), major iron and steel maker in Thailand, in order to strengthen cooperative ties. JFE Steel and Marubeni-Itochu Steel take a stake in SSI and they raise their investment ratio in Thai Cold Rolled Steel, a joint cold rolled maker, and increase technical support. JFE aims to increase steel material business relationship to SSI and acquire demand in growing Thailand Market.
