Japanese Ferrous Scrap Supply and Demand Maintain Their Balance

Japanese ferrous scrap supply and demand maintain their balance. Demand of ferrous scrap in July-September 2012 is estimated to decrease by several % because of non-operating furnace in the summer by electric furnace steel manufactures, but supply is not overplus due to decrease of scrap caused by summer factor. It is expected that demand of product including large objects and earthquake recovery related objects will recovers, and supply and demand may be tight from now on, distributors said.
