Tokyo Steel Manufacturing got Thai Industrial Standards (TIS) for pickling steel with 1.0-6.0 millimeters thick at Okayama plant and Tahara plant. The firm got the certification at Okayama plant in March and at Tahara plant in April. With the standard, the firm tries to get first order from Thai users.
Flat rolled steel demand is growing in Thailand when Japanese automobile and electronics makers are building transplants in the country. Tokyo Steel has no experience of shipping for Thailand but the firm tries to get new order mainly from transplants of Japanese companies Thailand through the certification. The firm already started talk for potential export.
