Local steel makers’ scrap purchase price is 32,500-33,500 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Tokyo. The price is 32,000-34,000 yen around Osaka. The price decreased for the first time in around a month when Tokyo Steel Manufacturing reduced the purchase price by 500 yen. The makers try to adjust higher valued scrap purchase when scrap export price is getting stable.
