Nippon Steel is accelerating preparation for corporate structure and facility design ahead of original schedule to launch Chinese tinplate making joint venture with Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation, WISCO-Nippon Steel Tinplate.
Nippon Steel launched the project team for the joint venture on August 1 and most of 14 managers of the team would move to Wuhan, China after the joint venture establishment. Nippon Steel prepares to launch the operation of the joint venture in summer of 2013 as scheduled while the two parent companies seek the approval from Chinese authorities.
