Sankyo-Tateyama Holdings, Inc. (STHD) announced on Monday that the group’s Sankyo Aluminium Industry would raise the selling price of building products to cover higher cost of raw materials including aluminium ingot. The firm will increase the price by 15% from quotation on the day increasing the transaction price effective on April 1. The hike for building products is the first time since 10% price increase in June 2005. STHD said the group’s Tateyama Aluminium Industry will also raise the selling price in line with Sankyo Aluminium Industry. The firm considers revising the selling price for housing and exterior products as early as effective in April. The firm seeks more than 10% of hike for housing products while the firm still considers the hike for exterior products.
