The ferrous scrap market price in the Tokyo area, Eastern Japan, is rising under the increasing export price. The price is increasing to around 19,100 yen per tonne for press of new factory busheling scrap and around 18,100 yen per tonne for non-press of that for dealers’ purchase price.Dealers are increasing purchase price when blast furnace steel makers and electric furnace steel makers increased the purchase prices of new factory busheling scrap. The price increased by 1,500 yen per tonne or 8.5% from the bottom in the beginning of February.Regarding the futures, March new factory busheling scrap fell by 500 yen per tonne to 26,210 yen per tonne on Monday on Central Japan Commodity Exchange. The price is likely to be quiet at the current level. The spot and futures price are increasing. The export price is main factor of impact on the markets. On the other hand, the ferrous scrap price in the Osaka area, Western Japan, is increasing to around 10,500 yen per tonne for H2.
