Shin Nikkei Raises Selling Prices of Construction Materials for Residence

Shin Nikkei announced on Thursday that it would raise the selling prices of construction materials for residence by 10-15% (13% for average) from the order entry on April 1. Shin Nikkei had promoted reduction of costs and improvement of productivity following escalating prices of raw materials of the firm’s products like aliminium ingot, the main material to construction material for residence. Aluminium ingot price rose sharply 40% or more in February from the same month last year. So difficulty procuring the material is likely to continue.So Shin Nikkei decided to perform the price hikes of construction materials for residence.Shin Nikkei already increased 15% the prices of the construction materials for buildings (new estimate) from February 1.
