Tostem Raises Selling Price of Construction Materials

Tostem Corporation announced on Thursday it will raise the selling price of housing and building related products. The firm will raise the price of house related products by 8-13%, averagely 10%, for the orders received on and after May 1, including aluminium sash, resin sash, entrance door, sliding door and housing exterior. The firm increases the commercial building materials by 14% for the orders received on and after June 1. The firm already raised the price of building related products by averagely 14% since the orders received on and after February 27.Primary aluminium and resin prices have surged, which are the main materials for housing and building materials, and the transportation cost has also increased with the high oil price. Tostem revised the selling price when the firm could not cover the higher cost by the own effort to reduce production cost.
