Japanese aluminium interests expect the international aluminium price could increase to higher level in the first half of fiscal 2006 started April. Some sources expect the price could reach US$ 3,000 per tonne at London Metal Exchange. Japanese sources in re-rollers and trading firms agreed the price has still chance to increase higher level under tight supply. The range is US$ 2,000-3,000 depending on sources. They see the supply keeps limited due to lower export by China and reduced output capacity in Europe. They also said the aluminium price is supported by higher cost factors including alumina and electricity along with fund money. Under the condition, they expect Japan premium could increase more after July-September after the increase to US$ 61 per tonne for April-June.
