Flat Hot Rolled Steel Price in Tokyo

Market price of hot rolled flat steel is flat at 65,000-66,000 yen per tonne for product with 3.2 millimeters thick, 3 feet of width and 6 feet of length in Tokyo. The market players increase the expectation for higher price under rebound of offshore market and lower domestic distributors’ inventory. The price is hitting the bottom though the rebound is limited.The demand keeps firm for manufacturers. The coil centers keep the high-level operations though the automotive demand decreases in April-June from January-March. The centers for such active users have certain order book.The inventory of hot rolled flat steel is appropriate level in major coil centers in Urayasu area, Chiba and the adjustment is finishing though the inventory is still room to decrease for total sheet steel products. The demand in distributors’ market is still low level. However, the market price decreased only slightly when the distributors try to keep the re-selling price.
