Ferrous scrap price is firm in Tokyo at around 16,500 yen per tonne for H2, around 18,500 yen for H1 and around 20,500 yen for HS at dealers’ purchase price including freight.Electric furnace steel makers around Tokyo purchase ferrous scrap at 24,000-26,000 yen per tonne for H2 and it is also firmer tone. The price increased by 500 yen in some areas. On the other hand, the export shipping is increasing gradually in the week due to better availability of vessels. Ferrous scrap export price is around FAS 24,000-24,200 yen per tonne for H2. Some expect the FAS price could increase in and after next week when local electric furnace steels increase the purchase price. In Osaka, ferrous scrap price is firm at around 15,500 yen per tonne for H2.
