Nippon Steel Chemical announced on Thursday the firm develops new market for red phosphorescent organic electroluminescent display materials with Universal Display Corporation of USA. They try to differentiate the EL display from prevailing liquid crystal panel to develop new market including long battery life mobile electronics devices when cell phone is used as online moving picture display. The red phosphorescent is combination product of Nippon Steel Chemical’s NS 11 and Universal Display’s red phosphorescent OLED materials. The material enables to realize longer life time of display and 4 times higher light emitting efficiency than traditional material along with 40% lower electricity consumption than traditional red luminescence materials.
