Firm Angle and Channel Price in Tokyo

Market price of equal angle is increasing at 70,000 yen per tonne for product with 6 by 50 millimeters at dealers’ site without freight around Tokyo. Channel price is 76,000 yen for product with 5 by 50 by 100 mm. The price is gradually increasing in June but some transactions are still cheaper. The price is likely to keep increasing. The distributors increased the reselling price to 71,000 yen per tonne for equal angle and to 77,000 yen for channel since the beginning of the month. The distributors accepted the higher price at dealers’ transaction. However, the distributors still sell the products at 69,000 yen for angle and 74,000 yen for channel for traditional users when the demand is slow. The distributors recognize they have to increase the reselling price sooner despite of the slow demand or they couldn’t fix the higher price. They keep trying to increase with closed watch for competitors’ move.
