Mitsui Mining & Smelting Hikes Zinc Sulfate by 25%

Traders prices of copper alloy fabricated products increased by 22-110 yen per kilogram for all kind of products other than phosphor bronze plate and nickel silver plate in Tokyo in late July from a month ago, announced by Tokyo Copper Alloy Products Distributors Association on Wednesday. The prices increased when Japanese official copper ingot price continued to increase in July, the indicator for copper alloy products market prices. The official price was continuously revised up when overseas copper markets soared up thanks to high nickel price and weaker foreign exchange rate of US dollar. The monthly average of Japanese official copper price increased by 64 yen to 949 yen per kg in July from June as of July 27, though the price weakened after July 21. Nippon Shindo’s purchasing price for brass turning scrap also increased following the official copper price, the indicator for brass bar market price.Traders price increased by 110 yen per kg for copper tube in late July from a month ago, though the price hike for copper tube was behind so far. Traders price increased by 39 yen for copper plate, by 70 yen for brass tube, by 35 yen for brass round bar, by 23 yen for brass strip and by 22 yen for brass plate.Traders prices decreased by 51-94 yen per kg for phosphor bronze plate and nickel silver plate in late July from a month earlier. These prices are indicated by Japanese official copper price of the previous month and the official price was contemporarily weak in June. Traders price would increase by 70 yen for phosphor bronze plate and by 150 yen for nickel silver plate in August from the previous month with the indicator of Japanese official copper price in July.
