Flat Japan Copper Scrap Export Price

Japanese copper scrap export price is flat in the week. The exporters have trouble to get new order for covered electric wire scrap and mixed scrap when Chinese buyers are reluctant to buy at high price. The export activity is likely to keep calm without changing factor when Japanese industry has seasonal holiday in mid-August.The export price is 250-270 yen per kilogram for covered electric wire scrap with 40-45% copper. Copper ingot price recovered to more than US$ 7,800 per tonne at London Metal Exchange after the drop to around US$ 7,000. Japanese official copper ingot price also keeps 950,000 yen per tonne for the month. The scrap exporters are reluctant to get export order from China at lower price.Japanese copper nugget makers keep more than 250 yen per kg of scrap purchase price, which competes with export price.
