Strong Ferrous Scrap Price around Tokyo

Ferrous scrap price increased by 1,000 yen to 14,400 yen per tonne for steel turning scrap in Tokyo last week, to 17,400 yen for A grade pig iron turning scrap and to 16,400 yen for B grade pig iron turning scrap at dealers’ purchase price including freight. Electric furnace steel makers around Tokyo increased the purchase turning scrap by 500-1,000 yen per tonnes in this week from the last week. Makers’ purchase made a price influence to dealers’ purchase price.It is expected the market price around Tokyo keeps strong tone for a while.Ferrous scrap price is at around 20,000 yen per tonne for steel turning scrap in Tokyo, at around 23,000 yen for higher level at makers’ purchase price.Ferrous scrap price keeps flat at around 17,000 yen per tonne for H2 around Osaka.
