Colored Coated Steel Sheet Market Price Keeps Strong in Tokyo

The market price of colored coated steel sheet is strong around Tokyo. The market price is 194,000 yen per tonne for large coil and 215,000 yen for small coil with 0.35 millimeters thick. Nisshin Steel, Japanese major colored coated steel sheet maker, raised the selling price by 10,000 yen per tonne from October shipping because zinc and aluminum price keeps high level and other material price is increasing. Other steel sheet maker shelved the price hike in October shipping because they penetrate the previous price hike in July in the market. However, they could not pass the increasing cost price enough on the selling prices by the price hike in July and the makers think to raise their selling price early. The shipment of dealers is low. End users increased their inventory before the makers’ price hike in July. They are selling the inventory. However, many dealers expect the demand in autumn because private sector investment is good condition.
