Japanese common steel wire shipment including bar-in-coil increased to 145,000 tonnes by 20.8% from a year ago and by 7.4% from July for domestic, which increased after 3 months from a year ago, and increased by good demand for construction, according to Wire Products Association. Common steel wire shipment increased to 80,900 tonnes by 24% from August 2005and by 23.1% from July, which increased from a year ago for 8 months. Bar-in-coil shipment increased to 55,000 tonnes by 29.7% from a year ago, while decreased by 21.5% from July, which increased from August 2005 for 2 months.
