Japanese ferrous scrap export price increased by about 2,493 yen per tonne to 29,478 yen in fiscal 2005 at ended of March 2006 from a year ago, which increased by about 95% from fiscal 2002, according to Japan Ferrous Raw Material Association. The export price increased by 704 yen per tonne to 24385 yen for South Korea, by 4325 yen to 35287 yen for China, while decreased by 532 yen to 23551 yen for Taiwan. The export price for China is higher than 2 countries because the ratio of high grade scrap is high or miscellaneous scrap such as motor export as ferrous scrap in Japan.The share of 3 countries was 89.8% in fiscal 2002, was 95.8% in fiscal 2005. Japanese ferrous scrap export becomes to depend heavily on 3 countries each year.
