Ferrous scrap price is flat at 25,100 yen per tonne for pressed new cutting scrap and 24,100 yen for new cutting grade without press at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is expected to keep the level. Scrap shipping price from Tokyo bay is flat at FAS 27,500 yen per tonne, which is around 1,000 yen per tonne lower than scrap purchase price by local steel makers. The shipping is not active when offshore makers are reluctant to buy relative higher Japanese scrap. Ferrous scrap price is also flat at around 17,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Osaka.
