Japanese UOE Steel Pipe Export Price Increases to Over US$ 1,000 per tonne

The export price of large diameter carbon steel tubes for general structure, UOE steel pipe, was high level to exceed at FOB US$ 1,000 per tonne because the supply and demand of the line pipe became more tight with the advancement of natural gas pipe line projects in the world. There is many projects after fiscal 2007 at ended of March 2008 in the world. One trading company said there is possible export price more increase.Japanese integrated steel makers increased selling price by FOB US$ 150-200 per tonne to US$ 1,000 from a year for X52 grade with 30-48 inch external diameter in API Standards, by US$ 200-300 to US$ 1,100-1,200, which got some order.
