Ferrous scrap price is flat at 21,500 yen per tonne for H2, 23,800 yen for H1 and 25,500 yen for HS grade at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is expected to keep the level. Japanese scrap export price decreased by 500 yen per tonne at import tender held by Hyundai Steel of South Korea last week compared with previous tender. The price was FOB 27,500 yen per tonne. Offshore makers are reluctant to purchase large volume of Japanese scrap at the relative higher price. Ferrous scrap price is also flat at around 17,000 yen per tonne for H2 around Osaka.
