Ferrous scrap price is flat at 21,500 yen per tonne for H2, 23,800 yen for H1 and 25,500 yen for HS at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. Each electric furnace makers decreased the purchase price of ferrous scrap. Many dealers said it makes no sense at all that their purchase price decreases to a large degree because they go into demand season in autumn. Meanwhile, the purchase price by electric furnace makers around Tokyo is around 28,500 yen per tonne, as high as 30,000 yen. It seems that they get it with their using volume against a background of ferrous scrap low export from Tokyo bay.
