Colored galvanizing flat steel price is firm at 194,000 yen per tonne for large coil and at 224,000 yen for smaller coil with 0.35 millimeters thick with 914 mm width around Tokyo. The price is expected to increase after the makers increased the price for the second time in the year. Nisshin Steel increased the selling price in the autumn followed by JFE Galvanizing & Coating, Yodogawa Steel Works and Nippon Steel & Sumikin Coated Sheet Corporation. They increased the price by 10,000-20,000 yen per tonne.They increase the price at least by January 2007. The distributors try to pass the higher cost price on the reselling price. The makers are forced to increase the price under the surging zinc price though some warn the distributors couldn’t pass the higher cost price on the users.
