Mitsubishi Materials announced on Thursday the firm raised official lead ingot price by 7,000 yen to 243,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in December. The price returned to highest level since 250,000 yen on November 8 thanks to higher lead market at overseas, though foreign exchange rate of yen maintains stronger against US dollar.Japanese official lead price hit 250,000 yen of yearly record on November 8, 2006, which reached the level as high as 280,000 yen on April 1, 1981. The official price declined to 223,000 yen temporarily when yen became stronger against US dollar and lead price at London Metal Exchange entered adjustment phase. The price recovered to yearly highest level currently.
