Mitsui Mining & Smelting announced on Tuesday official zinc ingot price by 14,000 yen to 560,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in December. The price was revised down when zinc copper price at London Metal Exchange declined by 4% from recent peak. The monthly averaged price became to 561,700 yen per tonne.
LME zinc price increased by US$ 80 to US$ 4,410 per tonne at settlement on Monday from Friday, when productive equipment broke down at Century mine owned by Zinifex of Australia. However, Japanese official price was revised down when LME spot price plunged from US$ 4,600 of recent peak on December 5 to US$ 4,330 on December 8.
