The firm also strengthens the tie-up with local scrap dealers for the higher dealing. The firm deals around 500,000-600,000 tonnes of scrap per year in Tokyo area. The firm exports 120,000 tonnes of scrap mainly for new cutting grade through cooperation with local dealers. The firm tries to increase the export by increasing the dealing sites. The firm expands the business to supply scrap to dealers around Osaka from local steel processors. The firm also increases scrap dealing volume around Nagoya through new business models. The firm has no scrap stock yard and seeks opportunities for joint yard operation with other sections in the firm including the nonferrous scrap business unit, which already has processing and stock yard. The firm also tries to expand environmental business including wind power generation business around Nagoya.
