JFE Steel concluded the export price negotiation with Asian users including motor makers and coil centers for non-oriented electrical flat steel to increase by US$ 20-30 per tonne for January-March shipment. The price is estimated to be C&F US$ 650-680 per tonne. The demand is firm in China, South Korea and Thailand. The users increase the appetite after the inventory adjustment finished in late 2006 from temporally overstock in earlier 2006. The firm tries to seek additional hike for April-June with expectation the demand keeps firm.
