Ferrous scrap price is flat at 16,400 yen per tonne for steel turning scrap, 19,400 yen for A grade pig iron turning scrap and 18,400 yen for B grade pig iron turning scrap at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is expected to keep the level with relative higher export price.Hyundai Steel offered around FOB 32,900 yen per tonne for H2 grade at tender for Japanese scrap purchase on January 31, which was 100 yen lower than previous week. The price is still 300 yen higher than scrap purchase price by electric furnace steel makers around Tokyo.
