Toyo Aluminium to Raise Aluminium Paste Price in March

Toyo Aluminium, Osaka based aluminium fabricator, announced on Wednesday the firm raises its selling price of aluminium paste by 60 yen per kilogram for shipment on and after March 1, 2007 to pass upsurge of primary aluminium ingot. The firm announced price hike of aluminium paste three times so far, previously in July 2006.Toyo Aluminium is a leading maker of aluminium paste and holds world top share of high-brightness metallic painting paste for automobiles. The firm announced the hike by 60 yen per kg in February 2006 and by 65-80 yen per kg in July 2006.No other paste maker has announced third price hike for aluminium paste in Japan. Other makers are likely to carry out third hike following Toyo Aluminium. Toyo Aluminium also raised plain aluminium foil price by 80 yen per kg from February shipment faster than any other suppliers.
