Firm Carbon Steel Wire Price in Tokyo

Carbon steel wire price is expected to increase around Tokyo when the rod makers including Godo Steel and Nakayama Steel Works increased the selling price. The steel wire makers try to pass the higher cost price on the selling price. The steel wire market price is firm after Godo Steel announced the firm increased the selling price of carbon steel wire rod, bar in coil and deformed bar in coil by 5,000 yen per tonne for January order. Nakayama Steel Works increased the price by more than 5,000 yen for February shipment. Nippon Steel also considers the price hike by around 5,000 yen for rod to make screw and processed wire products. Steel wire maker, Toyo Wire announced to increase the selling price by more than 5,000 yen per tonne for steel wire and by more than 8,000 yen for galvanized steel wire. Other processors try to increase the selling price. The market price is 84,000 yen per tonne for carbon steel wire with 4 millimeters diameter, 97,000 yen for round nail with 100 mm length and 96,000 yen for annealed steel wire.
