Flat H-Beam Market Price in Tokyo

H-beam market price is flat at 76,000 yen per tonne without freight for product with 200 by 100 millimeters width around Tokyo. The price increased by 1,000 yen when Tokyo Steel Manufacturing increased the selling price by 2,000 yen for March order. The distributors are forced to increase the reselling price when domestic integrated steel makers are expected to increase the selling price though the market has still lower priced transactions. The price is likely to keep the level in the month. Tokyo Steel announced the additional price hike as past 2 months just after the market price increased by 1,000 yen per tonne. The distributors are rush to pass the higher cost price in short period of time to improve the profitability. However, some distributors still watch the market condition to find when and how much hike the users accept. The distributors have some stock out sizes when the inventory decreases despite of the slower demand. The distributors try to increase the reselling price sooner or later without choice under the pressure by makers.
