Chubu Steel Plate will increase the selling price of plate and checkered plate by 5,000 yen per tonne for March-April shipment, which the firm starts to accept the order on February 26. The firm decided the hike when the supply will get tighter after April and the domestic price is lower than international market. The firm increases the price for the first time in near 2 years to cover higher raw materials cost.
