H-beam market price keeps strong with makers price hike. The market price is 76,000 yen per tonne for products with 200 by 100 millimeters width at dealers’ sites without freight around Tokyo. Nippon Steel announced on Monday the firm raises the selling price by 3,000 yen per tonne from March contracts. Some dealers started to announce new reselling price at 77,000 yen per tonne.JFE Steel and Sumikin Steel already announced they raises H-beam selling price by 3,000 yen per tonne from March orders. Some dealers expected Nippon Steel might raise its selling price by 5,000 yen per tonne and H-beam market price could jump up.Dealer source said Nippon Steel’s hike could stimulate H-beam market even by the range of 3,000 yen. H-beam shipment maintains low at dealers. However, the market price is increasing not by supply and demand balance but by makers’ price hike.
