Japan Bearing Demand to Rise by 3.1% in F2007

Japanese bearing output will increase by 3.1% to record 722 billion yen for fiscal 2007 starting April 2007 from fiscal 2006, according to Japan Bearing Industrial Association. The output will renew record for 3 years in a row under firm demand for automobile and industrial machinery. They expect the higher demand for second half of fiscal 2007. The demand will increase to 543,909 tonnes in fiscal 2007 from 518,549 tonnes in fiscal 2006. The demand will increase more than 10% in fiscal 2007 from fiscal 2006 due to higher demand for knockdown sets of automobile despite of slightly higher demand for finished car. The demand for industrial machinery will increase significantly in fiscal 2007 from fiscal 2006.
