Ferrous scrap market price is flat at 29,500 yen per tonne for H2, 31,800 yen for H1 and 33,500 yen for HS at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is likely to keep the level when local electric furnace steel makers try to build scrap inventory for output increase in coming a-week long holiday. Local makers pay 35,500-36,500 yen per tonne for H2 and some pay as high as 37,000 yen. Local makers get smooth scrap arrivals due to slower export shipping from Tokyo bay. Some makers reduced and stopped the scrap acceptance temporally. Ferrous scrap market price is firm at around 29,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Osaka.
