Japanese ferrous scrap joint export broke through at 65,000 tonnes by Kansai scrap dealer associations in fiscal 2006 at the ended of March, which hit the record high more than fiscal 2005 from Kansai around Osaka. Ferrous scrap export increased to 65,080 tonnes by 14% by Kansai scrap dealer associations in fiscal 2006 from fiscal 2005. The amount of ferrous scrap export was 50,000 tonnes by Kansai Tetsugen Kyogikai and Kansai Tetsugen Rengokai, 10,000 tonnes by Osaka Kinzoku Recycle Kogyo Kyodo Kumiai.Ferrous scrap joint export from Kansai was carried out by dealers in Osaka. Dealers in Kyoto, Kobe or Wakayama outside Osaka become a member of Kansai Tetsugen Rengokai which was established for only joint export. These dealer associations are expected to export on a conjoint basis at 5,000-10,000 tonnes per month. Ferrous scrap export is expected to become established.
