JFE Steel finished 1.3 billion yen work to build new pickling line at Keihin area of East Japan Works. The firm held completion ceremony with 130 attendees on Friday. The firm tries to pump up the new line to full capacity in June. The works had separate pickling line and cold rolling mill. The new line is continuous operation with cold rolling mill and better productivity and competitiveness in quality and cost along with higher output capacity. The works ships pickling steel from new line for further process including process in group companies while the works ships pickling steel from existing line for outside customers. The new pickling line has monthly 100,000 tonnes of output capacity and produces products with 1.8-4.55 millimeters thick and 600-1,350 mm width.
