Mitsubishi Materials announced on Friday the firm transfers its gold bonding wire business to Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo. In this autumn Mitsubishi Materials will divide its gold bonding wire division and integrates the business into Tanaka Denshi Kogyo, a subsidiary of Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo. Their gold bonding wire businesses will be integrated totally. The parent companies will continue negotiations to decide details of the integration.In 2006 Mitsubishi Materials transferred its share in its Chinese subsidiary of gold bonding wire business, MMC Electronics Hangzhou, partly to Tanaka Denshi Kogyo and Tanaka Kikinzoku International. MMC Electronics Hangzhou became to a joint venture between Mitsubishi Materials and Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo and their gold bonding wire businesses in China were totally integrated.Mitsubishi Materials and Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo decided to widen the business integration for higher competitiveness. They seek technology synergies, sales integration and reorganization of their business bases in Japan and overseas.
