Mitsui Mining & Smelting announced on Monday the firm revised down the official zinc ingot price by 5,000 yen to 484,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in May. The price decreased by about 10% from the recent highest at 536,000 yen on May 7 due to the decline of overseas zinc market. The monthly average became to 507,800 yen.Zinc spot price at London Metal Exchange downed by US$ 45.5 to US$ 3,610 per tonne at settlement on Friday from Thursday. LME zinc settlement hit the yearly highest at US$ 4,120 on May 9 following the upsurge of LME copper price. However, zinc settlement declined by 12% in 3 weeks when copper market entered adjustment.
