Ferrous scrap market price is flat at 20,400 yen per tonne for steel turning scrap, 23,400 yen for A grade pig iron turning scrap and 22,400 yen for B grade pig iron turning scrap at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is likely to keep weak when the export shipping is keep slower. Local electric furnace steel makers pay around 26,000 yen per tonne for turning scrap and some pay as high as 27,500 yen. The market price is weak when export market is slow from Tokyo bay. The supply is more than the demand when local steel makers get smooth scrap arrivals enough to the consumption. Ferrous scrap market price is also weak at around 26,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Osaka.
