Aluminium Extrusion Price Keeps Flat in Nagoya

The market price of aluminium extrusions keeps flat around Nagoya at around 795 yen per kilogram for 56S grade bar, at around 860 yen per kg for free cutting bar and at around 645 yen per kg for 63S grade shape.The market price of primary aluminium ingot decreases by 10 yen per kg for July-September compared with the previous quarter to reflect the decline of offshore aluminium market despite of cheaper yen against US dollar.Local demand for aluminium extrusions maintains stagnant around Nagoya when some users are reducing their purchasing volume with expectation the market price downs in July and the output of automobile related products is adjusted.Some dealers expect the demand might recover after mid August. On the other hand, some dealers anticipate the local demand bottoms out before summer. Dealer source said there are sign to recover at the inquiry from industrial machinery makers recently.Consequently aluminium extrusion market price will decrease slightly following the price down of primary aluminium ingot but expected to almost keep the level.
