Dowa Holdings announced on Monday its subsidiary, Dowa Thermotech established a new subsidiary in Thailand. Dowa Thermotech specializes in heat treatment services and technologies for metal products. Thai new subsidiary will start operation in December 2007 to provide heat treatment services for accepted metal products, produce and maintenance heat treatment facilities. In future the subsidiary would sell self-manufactured heat treatment equipment for other Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam. The annual sales value is estimated to become approximately 400 million yen for next several years.Dowa Thermotech decided the establishment of Thai subsidiary when Japanese automakers have established their production bases in the country and they demand local supply of heat treatment services. The subsidiary will start heat treatment services for committed auto parts and maintenance services for heat treating equipment in December 2007 in Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate of Rayong Region. The subsidiary will also start carburizing and carbonitriding services in summer 2008. In future the subsidiary will start production of heat treatment facilities.
