Japan H-Beam Export Rises by 87.8% in February

Japanese H-beam export increased to 20,637 tonnes by 87.7% in February from a year earlier, according to Ministry of Finance. The export decreased in January from a year ago for in 11 months, representing turns into increase in February. The import increased to 11,726 tonnes by 85.7% in February from a year ago, which exceeded at 10,000 tonnes for 4 months. Japanese H-beam was exported to 10 countries. Top 3 importers were South Korea, Hong Kong and India. International market price keeps high level. US market is at over US$ 800 per tonne. Average export price of Japanese H-beam increased to 78,262 yen per tonne by 13,323 yen from a year earlier. The averaged export price was 75,378 yen per tonne, which was 5,779 yen lower than November 2005. The import was from South Korea, China Taiwan and USA. The import from China exceeded at 10,000 tonnes for 2 months.
