H-beam market price is flat at 76,000 yen per tonne for base size with 200 by 100 millimeters width around Tokyo. The dealers’ inventory is still high though some dealers argue they have some stock out sizes. The demand also keeps slow despite of slightly recover for building applications. The dealers wait for full scale recovery after the major bottom. The demand shows sign to increase for mid- and small-sized building while major building demand keeps high. The small sized demand is expected to increase toward August and improve the dealers’ shipment. The dealers’ attitude is calm though some transaction was lower than the market in the bottom condition. The supply balance is likely to improve with lower shipment by makers when demand would increase. The dealers now try to keep the price level to secure materials under limited supply condition toward demand season.
