Stainless sheet steel market price is firm with strong tone at 650,000 yen per tonne for SUS304 base size at 245,000 yen for SUS430 around Tokyo. Many users are shifting to chrome series stainless steel sheet from nickel series products by degree. Users are increasing the order for chrome series products to dealers due to decreased nickel price in recently.The distributors try to minimize the purchase volume with expectation for lower price under lower nickel ingot price.Average nickel ingot price decreased to US$ 18.92 by US$ 4.75 in June from last month. Japanese stainless steel makers are expected to reduce the selling price severely at the contract in July.Dealers didn’t purchase nickel series stainless steel sheet in June due to anticipation of a fall. Makers cut the acceptance of the order from dealers and advanced the adjustment of the supply and demand. Dealers’ inventory is expected to decrease by makers’ adjustment from April.
